Conducted by the Coal Country Amateur Radio Club (WV8CCC), Madison West Virginia During Times of Crisis

Preamble:

The Coal Country West Virginia Crisis Net is designed to handle radio traffic from radio operators within Boone or surrounding counties, in a crisis event, whereby all pertinent radio traffic will be forwarded either by public service telephone, radio communications or written and hand delivered to the Boone County 911 Center for appropriate handling by authorized agencies. The Coal Country WV Crisis Net IS NOT a terminating agency that provides on-site support in the event of a crisis, the net is designed to handle radio traffic and pass it along to the nearest government entity tasked with communications reception and delivery. Net Control Operators will attempt to log all traffic, including dates, times, callsigns and any pertinent data related to the call. WE WILL BE CONDUCTING DAILY EMERGENCY NETS ON OUR LOCAL 70CM REPEATER 442.55 + SHIFT 100PL AT 0700 and 1900hrs daily, until the event has terminated.

Prior to beginning the Net, try out the repeaters we have available to us, either by making a call or by listening to existing phone traffic. If repeaters local to you are operational, report such to net control during the HF net.
